Sultan Marine’s owners bring together a long partnership of European and Turkish expertise in yacht building and design to create the modern styling and uncompromising quality which have already put Turkey as a whole in the spotlight of international yacht building.
Our principal facilities are located just outside Bodrum, where we have our own building areas, as well as additional build slots with compatible and long standing colleagues. Bodrum can claim an unbroken lineage of more than 300 years of the shipwright’s art, from Ottoman Naval yards, through the boom in traditional wooden sailing yachts to today’s high-tech constructions.
We feel strongly that with such a heritage, Bodrum yacht building should be at the very heart of new developments in the Mediterranean. Not only are all the traditional skills, passed on from father to son, still represented here – ancillary services like top-class wood manufacturing, cushion making and carpet design – but all the modern engineering facilities, rigging, chrome and polyester manufacturers are also an integral part of the Bodrum community.
Sultan Marine have been involved with ship- building and operating for almost a quarter of a century here in southwestern Turkey. Over that time, marine construction has made a quantum leap forward, in materials, in design and in requirement. The Company has moved to meet these challenges and now is at the forefront of innovation and originality.
We will shortly relocate to our own dedicated facility of over 9,000 square
metres in the new purpose-built large yacht building centre at Ören,
some 45 minutes by road from
both Bodrum and Bodrum Airport.
This government-sponsored development,
available only
to existing members of the Bodrum Ship Builders’
Federation, is due for completion mid-2009 and will allow
Sultan Marine to fulfil its maximum potential in large
yacht building.
